A hidden treasure in the Waikato is Bridal Veil Falls.

Having followed the signs from the Hamilton to Raglan road there is no hint of the magnificent falls along the drive, even when stopping at the carpark at the side of the road nothing is revealed.

The track through the bush follows a meandering stream. Suddenly the bush disappears and you find yourself at the top of the falls looking down on the pool below.

The falls are 55 mtrs high and it is well worth the walk down to the bottom.
