Originally we were going to keep the middle row of seats in the van. This would enable us to carry passengers and they would also lay flat to form our bed.

However to enable us to be able to use our porta-potti at night (a requirement of self containment) we needed some extra space.

We left one seat in, but removed the other and the central console.

The video doesn’t show the removal of the central console, but this was fairly easy.

Again the seat runners were left in place to make it easier to re-install the seat if we want.
