Today we drove a little further before stopping for coffee. Today we managed 500 mtrs.
We left Tokomaru Bay we paid a visit to the historic wharf and woolshed.
Then it was on to Te Araroa to visit the largest and oldest Pohutukawa tree in New Zealand before visiting the East Cape Lighthouse.
On the way out to the lighthouse we passed some camping, $10 pp with toilets and cold shower, but we passed up the opportunity.
On the way back from the lighthouse we had to make an emergency stop to photograph ‘The Instagram Tree of the East Cape’
See our video at nomadlifekiwi on youtube to see this special tree and also what else we got up to today.
